Ruby Cable Obituary

Ruby E. Humphreys Cable, 87, of Connellsville died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown. Mrs. Cable was born Aug. 21, 1916, in Mill Run, the daughter of the late Frederick and Sadie Prinkey Humphreys. After the death of her husband Gerald in 1969, she was the owner and operator of the Colonial Bar and Grill in Connellsville for about 10 years. Ruby was Lutheran by faith. She is survived by her loving family, three sons, Gerald W. Cable Jr. of Mount Pleasant, Donald R. Cable and Russell (Ricky) Cable, both of Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Pamela Jo Cable of Pittsburgh, Heidi Leigh Cable Gulisek and her husband, Joseph of Mount Pleasant, Eric Todd Cable of Newport Beach, Calif., LaChelle Dawn Cable Kyte and her husband, Mark of Tucson, Ariz., and Brandon Louis Cable and Carlene Renee Cable, both of Tucson, Ariz.; one-great-grandchild, Ethan Noak Kyte of Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters, Bessie Humphreys Watson of Houston, Texas, Lillian Humphreys Beattie of Morrell and her twin sister, Freda H. Watson Fox and her husband, Thomas of Amherst, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Gerald W. Cable Sr. who died in 1969, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Gilbert A. Humphreys, H. Herbert Humphreys, Frederick E. Humphreys, her sister Nellie V. Humphreys Bryson and her daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Mason Cable. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at GALONE-CARUSO'S, 204 Eagle St. Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Barry C. Witt officiating. Private inurnment will be in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
