Mary Collins Obituary

Mary R. Collins, 83, of McKeesport, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at her residence. She was born Aug. 29, 1931, in Duquesne, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Holub Madar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Collins; four brothers; and two sisters. She was a lunch lady with the McKeesport Area School District and a member of the former St. Pius V Parish in McKeesport, and it's Christian Mothers. Surviving are her son, Shawn Collins, of Meadeville; daughters, Maureen Ambrocik, of Sugarland, Texas, Gloria Boufford, of Glassport, Debbie Ganchuk, of McKeesport, and Karen Hackenberg, of Los Alamos, N.M. Also surviving are beloved nieces, Patty Weidmann and Arlene Homoki; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at the JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 2703 O'Neil Blvd., McKeesport, PA 15132. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick Church in McKeesport with the Rev. Paul Voida as celebrant. Interment will be private in McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery. www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.
