Nick M. Cipa

Nick M. Cipa, 28, of Murrysville, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, in UPMC Shadyside. He was born April 19, 1982, in Pittsburgh, son of Kevin M. and Andi Ferens Cipa. He was a devoted and caring son and business partner, protective brother and co-conspirator. Nick was a gentle giant, an Eagle Scout and a diehard Pirates fan who never completely gave up hope. He was a volunteer at the Bushy Run Battlefield, an enthusiastic hiker, member of the Delmont TOPS, Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club and an amateur historian. In addition to his parents, Nick is survived by a sister, Jacqueline ?Jackie? Cipa of Baltimore, Md.; paternal grandmother Josephine Cipa; maternal grandparents Andrew and Helen Ferens; and his best buddies, Maggie and Corey. Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hart Funeral Home Inc., 3103 Lillian Ave., Murrysville, Pa., 15668. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the St. John de la Salle Church, Delmont, with Father Michael Sikon as celebrant. Due to the nature of Nick?s illness, the family requests that you honor his memory by contributing to the Central Blood Bank.
