John R. "Bob" Topper Jr., 82 of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, peacefully with his family at his side. He was born July 28, 1943 in DeRidder, LA, the son of the late John R. Sr. and Thelma (Mahaney) Topper. Bob was a graduate of Turtle Creek High School, Class of 1961. Prior to retirement he was employed as the Quality Assurance Manager for Extrude Hone Corporation, Irwin. He was a longtime member of LOOM, Lodge 236, Irwin, and the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Veronica (McCoy)Topper; three children, Ron Topper (Casey) of Irwin, Amy (Tim) Orsini of Canonsburg and Richele (Brian Stough) of North Huntingdon; and three adored grandchildren, Morgan, Braden, and Owen Carpenter all of North Huntingdon. He will also be dearly missed by his siblings Jim (Jeann) Topper, Patricia Bruno (the late Frank) and Dawn Hochberg (Joe); and brothers-in-law Mike McCoy (Roby) and Royce Glasgow (the late Roseann). In addition, he leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin,. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, in Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to "his girls" at Forbes Hospital Short Stay Unit and to Forbes Cancer Center for their compassionate care, also to his loving niece, Renee Gilmartin, whose dedication as his hospice nurse provided comfort and dignity in his final days.
