Carole Stumpf Obituary

Carole Miller Stumpf, aged 95, passed away on January 18, 2024, in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on Nov. 20, 1928, in New Kensington, PA, Carole dedicated much of her life to serving her community and raising her four busy children. Carole graduated from New Kensington High School; her first job was as a secretary in the School District. She also worked at HJ Heinz. Her career also included a significant role as a bookkeeper for the family business, Stumpf's Markets. Beyond her professional endeavors, Carole was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts. Starting her journey in 1938, she remained actively involved throughout her life, contributing as a volunteer at the highest organizational levels in the area. Her commitment to the organization exemplified her dedication to community service and leadership development in young women. An avid crafter, Carole found joy and relaxation in crafting, a hobby that allowed her to express her creativity and share her handcrafted gifts with loved ones. Carole's life was celebrated without visitation, and a memorial service was held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Etna, PA. The service began at 1:30 p.m., followed by the interment of Carole and her husband, Edward, at the Miller family plot at Worthington Lutheran Cemetery.
