Jerome W. Brudy

1967 - 2021

Jerome William Brudy, 53, of Port Vue, went to be an angel to serve the Lord Tuesday, May 18, 2021. He was born Aug. 30, 1967, in McKees Rocks, and is the son of the late Earl and Jean Gongloff Brudy. He was self-employed for years, selling recordings of hockey fights to fellow fans. He then worked at Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. He was a boxer in the McKees Rocks Boxing League in 1983. He enjoyed listening to soft rock, pop music and rock. He loved spending time with his wife, caregiver and best friend, Heidi, and his fury companion, Rosie Ann. He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Kobulnicky Brudy; brother, Edward Brudy, of Swissvale; sister, Rose Anne Geilser, of Pittsburgh; nieces, Jenny and Lisa Geisler; and nephew, James "Jimmy" Geisler; also great-nieces and great-nephews; father-in-law, Jerome Kobulnicky; and his furry companion, Rosie Ann. He is a also survived by his brother-in-law, Ron Murphy, of Port Vue; sister-in-law, Melissa (Floyd) Brack, of McKeesport; nieces, Amber McHale and Kristen Brack; and many aunts, uncles and cousins from both sides of the family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Brudy Jr.; nephew, Jesse Geisler; mother-in-law, Victoria Kobulnicky; and grandmother, Margaret Brudy, who he loved and cared for until her death in 2008. Jerome wants to thank the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, priest and parishioners for welcoming him into the church and allowing him to be a member, and especially Karl and Anna Csiszar, and also his wife and father-in-law for taking such good care of him when he needed it the most.
