Jill A. Kemp

1966 - 2022

Jill A. Kemp, 55, of Belleair, Fla., formerly of Mill Run, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at home, following a months-long battle with cancer. Jill was born in 1966 in Mt. Pleasant. She graduated from Connellsville Area High School with the Class of 1985, and the Mansfield State University in 1989. She was employed in the television broadcasting industry her entire career, most recently as a production manager for NBC Sports on the golf circuit. Jill's work was her passion. Jill traveled the world, visiting 47 states and many countries. She worked behind the scenes at most of the Olympic Games since 1990 and was a five-time Emmy award winner for Technical Supervision involving production of the Olympics for television. Jill was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church in Mill Run, and attended the Peace Memorial United Presbyterian Church in Clearwater, Fla. Jill was predeceased by her father, Robert D. Kemp Sr. She is survived by her mother, Barbara H. Kemp, of Mt. Pleasant, brother, Robert D. (Yvonne) Kemp Jr., of South Carolina, sister, Heather (Calvin) Keefer, of Mt. Pleasant, and her most loved and cherished nephews and niece, Robert (Caitlin) Kemp III, Boomer Kemp, George Keefer, Zak Keefer and Tessa Keefer. A memorial service celebrating Jill's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, in the Middle Church, 3374 Route 981, Mt. Pleasant.
