John E. Pekich

John E. "Spanny" Pekich, formerly of Wall, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at the age of 87. Spanny was the beloved husband of Patricia "Isha" (Bonnar) Pekich for 53 wonderful years. He was the loving father of Christina (James) Perry and Jennifer (Brian) Urso. He is also survived by his brother, Bob (Donna) Pekich; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Bob) Romano; brother-in-law, Tom (Marybeth) Bonnar; special granddog, Emma; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family; and all who loved him. Spanny was preceded in passing by his parents, John and Elizabeth (Milivovich) Pekich, and infant sister, Mildred Pekich. Spanny was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed golfing and playing poker. He was a hard worker who worked as a carpet installer and with Service Master until he was 80. Most of all, he was a dedicated husband and father who adored his family, especially his daughters. A pomen service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, in the funeral home with Father Stefan Djoric officiating.
