Despite having left the area long ago I always considered Perry a close friend and I had the pleasure of visiting him just days before he passed. Almost every time I was in town we made a point of trying to get together. He was smart, funny and loyal and in general great to be around. I will miss him greatly. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
