William Boretsky Obituary

William H. "Billy" Boretsky, 68, of Carnegie, fell asleep peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, with family and good friend by his side. He is survived by his brother, Bruce (Deborah) Boretsky; sister, Lynn (Ronald) Chabalie; nephews, Andy (Diane) Boretsky, Adam (Elysse) Boretsky, Tyler (Karissa) Chabalie; niece, Kirsten (Joel) Chabalie; and many loving cousins and friends. Billy will be remembered for his smiling face, and most of all his kind heartedness to those he encountered. He was a man of many passions, avid fan of fantasy football, Pittsburgh sports and playing softball. The family wishes a special thanks to "Billy's Angels" and medical team from 6M at Shadyside Hospital who cared for him on his journey. Billy was laid to rest Friday, March 19, 2021, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Professional arrangements have been entrusted to VLADIMIR S. CORBA FUNERAL HOME of Carnegie. Memorial donations in his name may be made to Sy Holzer Endowed Immunotherapy Research Fund at the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation or Lymphoma Society.

What a fun guy. He could talk his way out of anything! We were in the Army together in Oberursel Germany at Camp King.

What a nice guy. I called him the mayor because he knew everyone! You'll be missed Billy .
