Albert Zeek Obituary

Albert L. "Skip" Zeek, 66, a longtime resident of East Pittsburgh, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005. Al was an Army veteran; a retired machinist from WABCO, Wilmerding; a former volunteer with the East Pittsburgh Volunteer Fire Department, and a former leader of Boy Scout Troop 47, Turtle Creek. Al also volunteered with the former Rescue 2, Turtle Creek; was president of the Turtle Creek High School Band Parents Association, and later become a bus driver in the Woodland Hills School District with the A.J. Meyers Co. Husband of Doris J. (Lang) Zeek for 42 years. Father of Richard (Kim), of Trafford; Rebecca Evans (Donald), of Jeannette; Harvey Zeek, of Michigan, and Caroline Carr (John) and Jennifer Zeek, of East Pittsburgh. Grandfather of David Gumpher; Ricky, Kristy, Ashleigh and Tyler Zeek; Brandon and Logan Evans, and Stephanie, Laura and Kenneth Carr. Brother of the late Jane Weschler and Anna Lang. Friends welcome from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 Linden Ave., East Pittsburgh, (412) 824-8800. Services and presentation of military honors at 10 a.m. Friday in Hillcrest Presbyterian Church, Monroeville. Private burial in Grandview Cemetery.
