C.J Donoghue

C.J. Donoghue Jr. died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005. Throughout his life, C.J. was devoted to his faith and the community, serving as past president of parish council; a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society; a lector, commentator and Eucharistic minister, and a Little League coach. He retired from the Dravo Corp. in 1985 as director of international affairs after 42 years of serving customers around the world. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Cecelia Sweeney Donoghue. Devoted father of Denise and John Frank, Marguerite and Ed Baxter, Gracelyn and Joe Ratay, Sean and Nicky Donoghue, Terry O'Rourke Donoghue (the late Timothy), Cece and Michael Donoghue and the Rev. Denis Donoghue, S.J. Loving brother of the Rev. John F. Donoghue, of Boise, Idaho; Peggy Wickham (the late Tom), of Wyomissing, and James L. and Ann Donoghue. Brother-in-law of Marguerite Clohisy (the late Warren), the Rev. Denis Sweeney, Clayton A. Sweeney (the late Sally), Rosemary Flynn (the late James), Mary Grace and Dr. Regis Stafford, Lorraine and Kenneth Wagner and the late Cathreen Sweeney. Cherished PaPere of 19 grandchildren and 43 nieces and nephews. Family and friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SVC., 1650 Greentree Road, Scott, where vigil for the deceased will be at 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas More Church. Interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
