Cathy Polowsky Obituary

Cathy (Fischer) Polowsky, 55, formerly of White Oak, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014. She was the wife of the late Mike "Ski" Polowsky of 27 years; loving mother of Michele (Chris) Uphoff, of Texas, Chad Polowsky (Christie Gazdich), of Elizabeth, Heather Polowsky (Brian Armour), of Ohio, Jessie Polowsky (Jonathan Holshue), of McKeesport, Jeremy Polowsky (Ashton Knox), of East McKeesport, and Elizabeth (Jon) Gabriel, of Greensburg; adoring and caring grandmother of 15; beloved daughter of Cecelia and Edward Fischer, of East Pittsburgh; sister of Cel (the late Mike) Lovis, of East Pittsburgh, Cindy Caldarelli (Dan Reed), of North Braddock, Ed Fischer (Geri Marburger), of East Pittsburgh, and the late Carole McIntyre; lifelong best friend of Debbie Jordan and her children, Kelli, Mikey and Sara. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was like a second mother to anyone who walked through her door through high school and beyond. Her grandchildren were her everything and she loved them with all her heart. Friends will be welcome 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 Linden Ave. at Cable Ave., East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Church of the Good Shepherd Parish. In lieu of fresh cut flowers, the family requests plant arrangements or donation to the family. http://www.laniganfuneralhome.com.
