Cynthia Barry Obituary

Cynthia Ann "Cyndi" Barry, 60, of Versailles, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, in the Center for Compassionate Care in Lawrenceville. Born Sept. 4, 1953, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Pauline (Homa) O'Rourke. A bank teller for the former National City Bank, Cyndi was a longtime fan and assistant coach of the Hard Noxx Softball Team. She is survived by her husband, to whom she has been happily married since Oct. 30, 1982, James T. Barry; her sons, James T. (Terri) Barry, of McKeesport, Jeffrey T. Barry, of North Huntingdon, Mickey J. (Dawn) Barry, of North Huntingdon, and Micah R. (Rachel) Barry, of North Huntingdon; and her seven grandchildren, James T. Barry III and Katie, Tyler, Megan, Avalin, Mirrah and Evan Barry. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, in the DANIEL F. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles, PA 15132 (412-678-3454). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, with Father Vincent Velas officiating.
