John Fusca Jr.

John Fusca Jr., 78, of Monroeville, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015. He returned peacefully to his "Heavenly Home." He was at home surrounded by his wife and two daughters. John was born and raised in Braddock, resided in Forest Hills and for the past 38 years, was a resident of Monoroeville. He was retired after 42 years as a draftsman for Westinghouse Nuclear Center in Monroeville. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John Sr. and Katherine (Hartford-Alfieri) Fusca. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 58 years; Dolly (Mizerak) Fusca; daughters, Annette Fusca and Dorrie (Jay) Garzone; twin granddaughters, Angelique (Shaun) Norton and Annette (Tom) Caruso; great-granddaughters, Giovanna Caruso and Iliana Norton; dear brother, Joe (Lola) Fusca; and sisters, Tina (James Sr.) Suley and the late Sara (Fred) Mariano and Baby Joanna Fusca. He was the uncle of the late James Suley Jr. and surviving nieces and nephews, Angela Mariano-Turkowski, Butch (Mira) Mariano, Dr. Dean (Jen) Mariano and is also survived by devoted nieces and nephews, Joanne "Cha-Cha" (Ken) Adams, Diane "Sissy" (Robert) Ostroff and godson/nephew, Larry Allen and Mario Suley. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, 412-824-4332. Prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial in Good Shepherd Church, Braddock. Interment will follow in Braddock Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests "Perpetual Masses" in his name and prayers for others who have and still are suffering with the insidious disease of Parkinson's.
