Michael Debruyn Obituary

Michael G. Debruyn, 49, of Turtle Creek, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, after a valiant six-year battle with cancer. He was the beloved father of Michael William Debruyn; former spouse of Roseanne M. (Chabanik) Debruyn; and stepson of Karen Comer Debruyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Clade Debruyn Ingelido and George Herman Debruyn. He was the brother of Rich (Amie) Ingelido and David H. (Laura) Debruyn; uncle of Peyton Ingelido (who Michael referred to as 'Princess"), Sydney B., Hannah C. and Logan P. Debruyn; brother of Lori Kashellack; and stepson of Richard Ingelido. Michael was a Marine Corps veteran. He loved to ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his son, Michael. Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, TURTLE CREEK/MONROEVILLE CHAPEL, 1111 Monroeville Ave. at James St., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Monroeville Christian Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Restland Cemetery.
