Ruth Seitz Obituary

Ruth (Decker) Seitz, 83, of Mt. Lebanon, died Monday, March 15, 2010. She was the beloved wife for 51 years of the late John B. Seitz; devoted mother of Tom (Marno) Seitz, of Davidson, N.C., Gretchen (Charlie) George, of North Andover, Mass., Jane (Earl) Pierce, of Knoxville, Tenn., Molly (Peter) Fleming, of Hudson, Ohio, and Annie (Bill) Bugni, of Dallas, Texas; and loving grandmother of Meg, Patrick, Maret, Christie, Bridget, John and Sammy. She was a wonderful friend to all, loved to cook, do crafts, play bridge and enjoy her five o'clock beer. She was a member for more than 55 years of St. Bernard's Church, the Study Club, May Mart and apple pie maker. Many thanks go out to Concordia of the South Hills for their care and love for the last six years. Friends will be welcomed from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Bernard Church. Entombment in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. If desired, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222, or the Angel Fund at St. Bernard Church, 311 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. www.laughlinfuneralhome.com.
