Thomas R. Gossman

1932 - 2016

Thomas R. Gossman, 84, of Elizabeth Township, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016. He was born Jan. 2, 1932, in McKeesport, and was the son of the late Jacob and Edith Kreiger Gossman. He was the husband of the late Alice Jean Svec Gossman, who died March 21, 2008. Thomas was a member of St. Michael Parish, Elizabeth Township Seniors, Lifespan, and was also a 50-year member of the Bettis Bowling League. He was a retired Senior Technologist for the Bettis Atomic Power Lab. He is survived by his sons, Thomas P. (Carol) Gossman, of Elizabeth Township, David A. (Robin) Gossman, of Greenock, and Gary J. "BO" (Lisa) Gossman, of McKeesport; grandchildren, Shawn, Alysa, Grae and Sarah; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Robert Gossman.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 1, at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township, (412-751-5000), Drew J. Gilbert, Director. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at the St. Michael Parish with the Rev. Thomas Wagner officiating. Interment will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
