V. Lamperski Obituary

Vincent David Lamperski, 61, of West Deer Township, died Monday, July 25, 2011. Born Aug. 17, 1949, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Vincent P. and Marie A. (Czernewski) Lamperski. He was the dear brother of Theresa (Brian) Lamperski, of Michigan, JoAnne (Mark) Draskovich, of West Deer, Carolyn Talerico, of Richland, and Elaine (Robert) Bodnar, of West Deer; and uncle of Ted Smiley, Ralph and Nicole Talerico, Tamera Bodnar, and Michelle, Michaela, Jeremy and Jody Draskovich. A Vietnam War Army veteran, David worked with Wildwood Country Club and at his family's greenhouse and nursery. A living and lasting remembrance of David will be the hundreds of trees across the community he was responsible for planting. He had a passion for song writing and performing county music, loved to help others and was an extremely humble and giving person. Family will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Victor Church, Bairdford, with Father Charles Speicher as celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in National Cemetery of Alleghenies, Bridgeville. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250 or the Lighthouse Foundation, P.O. Box 366, Bakerstown, PA 15007. Please pay tribute at www.schellhaasfh.com.
