Maria Nanci

1942 - 2017

Marcia Nanci, 74, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at her home. She is survived by her husband, James Nanci; son, Joshua (Erin) Nanci; grandchildren, Jay and Eli; brother, Darrell Travis; many nieces and nephews; and dog, Cobi. Marcia was born May 18, 1942, in Pittsburgh. She was a 1960 graduate of Wilmerding High School. She later married James Nanci Aug. 1, 1964. Marcia was an accomplished dog breeder and owner of several dog show champions including, I Have a Dream "Dreamer", the winner of the Working Group at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City, N.Y., in 1990. Marcia truly lived life to the fullest and enjoyed cooking, fashion, decorating, reading, chatting with friends and family and spending time with her two grandsons. She will be forever loved and remembered.
Friends will be received for a memorial blessing service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, in the WILLIAM F. GROSS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 11735 Frankstown Road (at Rodi Road), Penn Hills, with a reception to follow for close friends and family to celebrate Marcia's life.
