Robert M. Holderbaum

Robert M. Holderbaum, 76, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, May 7, 2012, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1935, in North Irwin, a son of the late Harry and Laura Mae (Charlesworth) Holderbaum. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Rose (Hudale) Holderbaum; his first wife, LaMoyne (McKeever) Holderbaum; and his brother, Dwight "Bud" Holderbaum. Bob is the retired owner operator of Bob's Sunoco, North Huntingdon, and the Citgo and Laundromat in Manor. He is a member of Paintertown Evangelical Lutheran Church, past master of Shidle Lodge No. 601, Free & Accepted Masons, Irwin, a member of Bromas Club, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburgh, and York Rite organizations, Syria Temple, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Westmoreland Forest No. 77, Order of Eastern Star, Irwin, Chapter No. 400 and worthy patron of Order of Eastern Star, Springdale Chapter No 453. He is survived by his wife, Sandra J. (Adams) Holderbaum; children, Robert E. (Cindy) Holderbaum Sr., of Irwin, and Denise (Michael) Sudaric, of Manor; stepchildren, Kimberly (Daniel) Barr and Tracy (Dean) Barr, both of Brackenridge; grandchildren, Robert E. (Carla) Holderbaum Jr., Chad (Jen) Holderbaum, Stacy Holderbaum, Derick Sudaric (fiancee, Becky Stiffler), Trisha Troutman, Bobby (Lindsey) Woods, Matthew (Jamie) Barr, Nicole Killian and Ryan Barr; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Emma Holderbaum, Madison and Maegan Troutman, Payton and Camryn Woods and Damian and Taylor Barr; brother-in-law, Earl W. "Bucky" (Doris) McKeever; sisters-in-law, Barbara (William) Stutzman and Susan Sonafelt; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Dorothy Worth officiating. Interment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. Order of Eastern Star services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home followed by a Masonic funeral service by Shidle Lodge.
