Adam Fullerton Gemmell, 14, of Smithton, died Sunday, June 7, 2009. He was born Aug. 8, 1994, in Pittsburgh, a son of Thomas S. and Sandra E. (Peckyno) Gemmell, of Smithton. He would have been a ninth grade student at Yough High School. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Andrea E. Gemmell; paternal grandmother, Barbara A. (Zuercher) Joos, of Pittsburgh; maternal grandmother, Theresa L. (Lucas) Peckyno, of Coal Center, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Mary Jane (Mitchell) Bensenhaver and her husband, Donnie, of Daleville, Ala.; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, Thomas S. Gemmell; and maternal grandfather, Charles Peckyno. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday only in the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg. Prayers at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.
