Albert Kroll

1937 - 2017

Albert "Ike" Kroll, 80, of Penn, died Friday, June 16, 2017, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born May 10, 1937, in Wendel, a son of the late Joseph and Stella (Sassak) Kroll. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for several Ford dealerships throughout the area, most recently Davies Ford, of Connellsville. Albert was the former owner of Ike's Mobile Station, of Manor. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army, and a member of the American Legion. He was an avid gardener and loved polkas and frequented attended the Frank Powaski Polka Parties in Norvelt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca (Allwine) Kroll. Surviving are three children, Tina Johnston and her husband, Jim, of Greensburg, Tammi Walker and her fiance, Kevin, of Penn, and Albert E. Kroll and his fiance, Kelly, of Penn; five grandchildren James IV and Thomas Johnston, Richard and Daniel Walker and Emma Kroll; three great-grandchildren, Tallen, Breanna and Aubrey Walker; two brothers, Edward, of Herminie, and Pete, of Las Vegas, Nev., and sister, Adeline, of Las Vegas, Nev.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, at which time a prayer service will be held followed by a military service.
