Alice Faroux

1928 - 2017

Alice Faroux, 89, of Manor, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in William Penn Care Center, Jeannette. She was born July 10, 1928, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late William and Velma (Lemmon) Howe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Faroux, and siblings, William, Henry, Velma, Fredrick, John, Gerald and Roger. She worked as a leer operator for Window House and belonged to the former First United Methodist Church, Jeannette. Alice is survived by her son, Lester Faroux, of Manor; daughter, Lorraine Valasko and her husband, John, of Youngwood; stepson, Larry Faroux and his wife, Libby, of Rocky Mount, N.C.; a sister, Josephine Reese and her husband, Bill, of Tacoma, Wash.; five grandchildren, Emily, Betsy, John-David, William and Matthew; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. A funeral service will be held at noon Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Anette Gerber. Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
