Amy Coulter

1934 - 2017

Amy Maxwell Coulter went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 12, 2017, while surrounded by her family. Amy was born in Kawasaki, Japan, on Jan. 19, 1934. She was raised by her parents, Kazuo and Asa Suzuki, and was one of eight children. In 1953, she married her late husband, William I. Maxwell, and moved to America in 1956. She went on to raise two sons, David and Bobby Maxwell, and played a big part in raising her granddaughter, Melissa (Maxwell) Kawai. In 1997, she married her husband, John P. Coulter. She was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church and volunteered at the Saltsburg Social Center. Amy lived a beautiful 83 years and will always be remembered for her assurance in God's provision, as well as her classiness, compassion and profound love for her family. She is survived by her loving husband, John; sons, David (Tracey) and Bobby; stepdaughters, Diane (Greg), Jane (Darren), Donna (John) and Kathy (Gene); grandchildren, Melissa (Dallas), Robert, Matthew (Sydney), Liam and Levi; step-grandchildren, Danna (T.J.), Nathan, Jesse, Marley, Duncan, Fallon, Peyton, Michaela, Steven, Evelyn, John, Molly, Travis, Leah and Alec; great-grandchildren, Kekai, Nalu, Noah and Skylar; and siblings, Ayako, Akira, Etsuko, Noriko, Hiroshi, Hideko and Fumiko.
Friends will be received by family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 701 Salt St., Saltsburg. Funeral services will be Friday, June 16, 2017. The service will begin at 11 a.m. at Saltsburg Presbyterian Church, Saltsburg, with Pastor Victor Fisk officiating. Everyone please meet at the church.
