Anna Franks Obituary

Anna Lyne Scott Franks, 84, of Connellsville, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. She was born Sept. 1, 1918, in Lynchburg, Va., a daughter of the late Thomas W. Sr. and Lyne Reamey Scott. Mrs. Franks was retired from the Connellsville Area High School cafeteria and was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Connellsville. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Franks Sr., in 1966; and a brother, Thomas W. Scott Jr. She is survived by three sons, Richard E. Franks Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Acme, William T. Franks and his wife, Kathy, of Midlothian, Va., and James W. Franks and his wife, Sherry, of Acme; eight grandchildren, Ned Franks and his wife, Theresa, of Connellsville, Lori B. Franks of Baltimore, Md., Amy E. Franks of Cincinnati, Ohio, Missy Leapline and her husband, Bruce, of Connellsville, Julie Franks of Atlanta, Ga., Jason S. Franks and his wife, Misty, of Pittsburgh, Kristin Franks of Acme and Mindy Franks of Mt. Pleasant: five great-grandchildren, Alicia, Kassidy, Kawlija, Mason and Colin; a sister, Bettie Redd Satchell of Newport News, Va.; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Scott of Dunbar. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Monte Holland officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
