Anthony Longo Obituary

Anthony David Longo, 26, of Chambersburg, formerly of Greensburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 16, 2005. He was born April 4, 1978, in Pittsburgh, a son of John A. and Donna L. (Pugliese) Longo, of Greensburg. Tony was a graduate of The Kiski School in Saltsburg, where he was captain of the golf team and co-captain of the baseball team. He had also attended Florida State University. He was employed as an Eastern Region Sales Executive for the Eldorado Stone Co. in Chambersburg and was a business adviser for his family's radio station. He loved to play golf and was a proud sales representative whose success was a direct result of his ability to enjoy and work with others. Tony, along with his father and other family members, recently participated in the Disney World Marathon and helped raise over $10,000 for the American Stroke Association. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Aurelio C. Longo. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Lisa Shade and her husband, James, of Hempfield Township; his brother, John P. Longo and his wife, Shannon, of Robinson; his maternal grandparents, Pietro and Erminia Pugliese, of Greensburg; and his paternal grandmother, Theresa Longo, of the North Hills. He was also a very proud uncle of Aspen, Kelsey and Carson Shade and Danielle, Brianna and Nicholas Longo. He is also survived by his aunts, Angela Longo, Margaret Martorelli and her husband, Jim, Diane Flex and her husband, Don, Doreen Quinn and her husband, Jack, and Denise Evans; his special friend, Brigette Alexander; and several cousins. Friends will be received at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Unity Chapel, Unity Township, with the Rev. Jeffrey L. Schock officiating. Everyone please go directly to Unity Chapel. Entombment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery Mausoleum, Greensburg. Flowers are welcome but should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to The Kiski School, 1888 Brett Lane, Saltsburg, PA 15681, or to the American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 8835, Camp Hill, PA 17001-8835.
