Barry Strosnider Obituary

Barry J. Strosnider, 41, a lifelong resident of Point Marion, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at his home. Born March 4, 1967, in Uniontown, he was a son of Marion Strosnider, of Smithfield, and the late Carrie Elizabeth Angelo Strosnider. A construction worker for most of his life, he enjoyed outdoor activities, especially camping, hunting and fishing, and was an avid NASCAR and Steelers fan. He was a loving, kindhearted person, who will be sadly missed by those who knew him. In addition to his father, he is survived by six children, Carrie Jo, Jamie, Amy, Cody, Shyan and Kristi; four grandchildren, Cheyenne, Mason, Baily and Trent'nn; his stepmother, Annette Strosnider; brothers, Gary Strosnider and his fiance, Diane, Mark and Kathy Strosnider, Brian and Tara Strosnider, Matthew Strosnider and Joshua Strosnider; sisters, Lori and Marion Strosnider; stepsister, Tara Hagner; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his grandparents, Marion and Edna Strosnider, and Sullivan and Violet Angelo; and a sister, Marion June Murray, April 9, 2008. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, and until the hour of service at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Rose Bircher officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the family at 501 Morgantown St., Point Marion, PA 15474.
