Betty Godich

1942 - 2023

Betty Godich, 81, formerly of Level Green, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023, in the Murrysville Rehab and Wellness Center, Murrysville. Betty was born Jan. 10, 1942, in Biddle, the daughter of the late Fred and Ann (Vuic) Bogonovich. Betty retired from the Westmoreland County Housing Authority and she was a member of the Living Word Congregational Church, Jeannette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Godich; and her sister, Diane Ray. Betty is survived by her children, Samuel J. Godich (Sonja) and Sandra A. Gaupin; her grandchildren, Samuel Godich Jr. and Megan Godich, Sean Sisler, Jason Hopkins and Hannah Sisler; her great-grandchildren, Devin, Audrina, Kylian and Brooke; and her brother, Freddie Bogonovich (Kerry). A memorial service for Betty will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, in the Living Word Congregational Church, 2003 Ridge Road, Jeannette, with Pastor Roy Aiken Jr. officiating. The JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 Seventh St., Trafford, 412-372-3111, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Living Wood Congregational Church. Our family would like to thank Murrrysville Rehab and Wellness Center for the care and services they have provided over the past few years. Also, we would like to extend our gratitude to Monarch Hospice for their kind and compassionate care for our mother as well as our family.
