Betty J. (Olson) Swope, 91, of North Huntingdon, formerly of North Braddock, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, in Walden's View Personal Care Home. She was born June 9, 1929, in North Braddock, the daughter of the late Alfred E. and Ethel (Atkinson) Olson. Prior to her retirement, Betty was employed as a bank teller for Mellon Bank of Braddock. She was a member of Women of the Moose of Irwin, Guys and Dolls Bowling League. Betty enjoyed going to the casino and was an avid bingo player. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Swope Sr.; a granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Crowe; and brother, Alfred Olson. Surviving are her children, Charles Swope Jr., and his wife, Marjorie, of S.C., Darla Sperduto, and her husband, Armand, of North Huntingdon, and Betty Crowe and her husband, Earl, of Manor; five grandchildren; Holly McElhinny, and her husband, Tom, Nicole Crispin, and her husband, Jeff, Michael Sperduto, and his wife, Kristen, Sarah Spreckic, and her husband, Igor, and Hannah Swope and her fiancee, Michael. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Dorothy Olson, of Monroeville, as well as six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the OTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, where a service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
