Brian Leone Obituary

Brian E. "Pie" Leone, 56, of Latrobe, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, after a battle with lung cancer. Born Aug. 4, 1958, in Latrobe, he was a son of George J. Leone, of Latrobe, and the late Eileen (Lancianese) Leone Houser and Charles R. Houser. For 28 years, Brian worked at Pizza Hut of Latrobe and most recently had been employed by Sunoco on Route 30 in Latrobe. Besides his mother and stepfather, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amidio and Margaret Lancianese and Joseph and Helen Leone. Brian is survived by his father, George J. Leone, of Latrobe; a brother, George Leone; and nephew, Kevin, both of Tampa, Fla. He also is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church, Latrobe, with the Very Rev. Daniel C. Mahoney, VF, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the family and directed to the funeral home.
