Carol A. Colarusso, 75, of Greensburg, on passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024. She was born Oct. 17, 1948, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Harry 'Peck' and Margaret Logan Lopes. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Greensburg. Prior to retirement, she worked for nearly 40 years as secretary at the former Greensburg Tire. Carol was an avid bowler. She enjoyed weekends at the family cottage in Pymatuning and playing Mexican Train. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Betsy Lopes. Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Mark Colarusso; a son, Vincent Colarusso, of Carmichaels; a daughter, Jody (James) Kesslick, of Collegeville; four grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Kristi, Kevin, Dominic, and Giana; a brother, Dennis Lopes, of Greensburg; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews; and a special cousin, Sandra Zebrak. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
