Carol Rowland Obituary

Carol Ann Orzechowski Rowland, 83, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2024. She was born on December 13, 1940, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Francis and Veronica Lucas Orzechowski. Carol lineattended St. Canise High School and had a passion for playing bridge, linetraveling, spending time with her family, playing bingo and trying her luck at the slot machines. She was also an avid watcher of Fox News and loved all things extraterrestrial. In addition to her parents, she was linepredeceased by her sisters: Judy Sowa, Gail Medwid, Janet Stephans, and Janice Orzechowski. Carol is linesurvived by her loving linehusband, James Rowland, her children: Mark (Wendy) Rowland, Cynthia Gwillim, Lisa (Ed) Nickl, and lineRoberta (Alex) Elnyczky; her grandchildren Ryan Nickl, Jamie Carroll, lineTaylor Rowland, Lindsay Nickl, Brandt Rowland and James Gwillim; and her great-grandchildren Amelia Nickl and Austin Carroll. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at lineBARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A lineliturgy service outside of Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral homes chapel. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial lineCemetery, Pittsburgh.
