Charles W. Padula, 71, of Latrobe, passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital. Born June 5, 1954, in Latrobe, he was the son of the late Charles P. He was the longtime president of the American Slovak Society, Bradenville, and a member of the White House Club, Loyalhanna. An avid racing fan, he loved both watching and participating and even built race cars for friends. His knowledge of cars was extensive, and he had the skills to be his own mechanic for his family's vehicles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott Charles Padula; and a nephew, Raphael Michael Yost III. Charles is survived by one son, Kennith W. Padula, and his fiancee, Jessica Bures of Latrobe; one stepdaughter, Jennifer L. (Nestor) Treece, and her husband, David, of Blairsville; three grandchildren, Matthew Treece, Marissa Bures, and Mackenzie Bures; two sisters, Charlene Padula of Latrobe and Carol Yost, and her husband, Raphael Jr., of Latrobe; and a nephew, James Yost, and his wife, Kim. At his request, there will be no public visitations or services. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Private interment will be at St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
