Christopher Kettering Obituary

Christopher Kettering, 62, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday, May 26, 2018, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Oct. 14, 1955, in West Mifflin, to the late William J. and Agnes D. Kettering. Chris was a maintenance worker at The Park Mansions in Pittsburgh and formerly worked at Motor Coils Manufacturing in Braddock. He was a 1977 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania. He was adamant about preserving the environment and wildlife for future generations. Chris was a member of the Pitcairn Monroeville Sportsmen's Club. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed his hobby of gun collecting. He especially enjoyed camping and Pittsburgh sports teams, and he completely adored his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Judith Parkinson Kettering; his sons, Lyle W. Kettering (Natasha), of North Huntingdon, and Randall C. Kettering (Melissa), of Crafton; and grandchildren, Myla and Maverick, of North Huntingdon. He is also survived by a brother, David Kettering (Susan), of Duquesne; and a sister, Beverly Klein (Albert), of Tennessee.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 200 Leger Road, Irwin. Interment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, 14679 US-30, Irwin. Arrangements are by the JAMES F. KUTCH FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATORY, 433 Lincoln Way, East McKeesport, PA 15035, 412-823-4054.

I remember Chris in high school as a kind, considerate, happy and fun loving guy! The world was a better place with him in it. My deepest sympathy to all who knew him. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
