Clinton Daugherty Obituary

Clinton L. Daugherty Jr., 63, of Derry Township, died Saturday, April 1, 2017, at his residence. Born Nov. 11, 1953, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Clinton L. "Mike" Daugherty Sr. and Hazel (Jordan) Daugherty Bentlejewski. Clinton was employed at Latrobe Specialty Metals. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the Air Force. He enjoyed traveling and going to auctions and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan. His great sense of humor made him a real "jokester" who loved to make people laugh, and also a true fan of the Three Stooges. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Thomas Filo IV. Clinton is survived by his wife, Debra A. (Love) Daugherty, of Derry Township; one daughter, Dina M. Filo, of Vandergrift; one son, Brad J. Daugherty, of Derry; three grandchildren, Mia Daugherty, Landon Daugherty and Thomas Filo V; three brothers, Jerry L. Daugherty, and his wife Donna, of Calumet, Randy M. Daugherty, and his wife Robin, of Blairsville, and Gary L. Daugherty, of Brookville; three sisters, Betsy L. Daugherty, and her husband Jake, of Blairsville, Emma E. Gleckl, of Phillipsburg, and Patricia Gongaware, and her husband Bill, of Winburne; his stepmother, Betty Daugherty, of Latrobe; his mother-in-law, Florence Love, of Derry; and several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Military services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home by the Latrobe Derry Veterans Honor Guard. A funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Monsignor Larry Kulick, JCL, officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
