Cynthia Morrow Obituary

Cynthia Joanne Morrow, 59, of Greensburg, loving daughter of John and Laureen Morrow, died on Oct. 23, 2024. Cindy was born on Nov. 19, 1964, in Wilkinsburg, PA, and had lived in New Salem, Jeannette, and Greensburg. Most recently, Cindy enjoyed the care and company of the wonderful staff of Community Living Care in Greensburg, PA. Cindy was a 1986 graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children and a 1989 graduate of the Guild for the Blind in Bridgeville, PA. For many years, Cindy worked at the Westmoreland County Blind Association in Greensburg. Cindy was a member of the Reunion Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant. Along with her mother, she was a member of the choir for many years, learning the songs by sound. Her favorite hymns were Fairest Lord Jesus, Amazing Grace, and Go Tell It on the Mountain. Cindy enjoyed all sorts of music, especially classical, and could name the title and composer of many pieces. In fact, Cindy met John Denver in person following one of his concerts! Cindy was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Frank Pifferetti; and is cherished and succeeded by her father, John; brother, Timothy; and sister, Kathy Pifferetti; as well as many cousins and numerous friends. Cindy will be missed for her sweet disposition, patience, courage and strength; her sense of humor, and her love and generosity. The family wishes to extend their most sincere and abundant appreciation for all of the care workers who went above and beyond their duties to care for Cindy and to be such an important part of her family. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 730 West Main St., Mount Pleasant, PA. and 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Reunion Presbyterian Church, 769 West Main St., Mount Pleasant, PA, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont. In lieu of flowers, friends may honor Cindy's life with a contribution to the Westmoreland County Blind Association or Community Living Care, Greensburg. When I was organist at First Presbyterian, Jeannette, in the late 1980's, I was privileged to know Pastor John Morrow and his wonderful family. Cindy was always outgoing and pleasant. In later years I often saw her at concerts with her father. Still always friendly. Condolences and blessings to the family.
