Daniel Clement Obituary

Daniel Clement, 74, of North Huntingdon, died peacefully Friday, May 20, 2016, surrounded by his family and friends. Daniel was the beloved husband of 50 years to Dona (Ammon) Clement; loving father of Janel Clement and Jennifer (Henry) Flynn; adoptive father of Nicholas Ortiz; and proud pappy of four grandchildren, Emily, Henry, Daniel and Harrell. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Mary Clement, Mary Ammon and Margaret Koschik; his brothers-in-law, Rick Ammon and David Koschik; and eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Loraine Clement; his brothers, Bruce and Harvey; and his in-laws, Everett and Margaret Ammon. Daniel was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio. He attended San Diego High and enlisted in the Air Force in 1960. After his service, he worked as a purchasing manager for 30 years, and later as a group home counselor. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Geneva University. Dan enjoyed music, golfing, shooting pool, camping and Pittsburgh sports. He loved his grand-dogs, Maisie and Murray, and was known for his quick wit, jokes and feisty political opinions. He will be remembered for his smiling blue eyes and the joy and laughter he brought to those he met.
Friends will be received at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME, 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, with interment and reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Association or The Audubon Society. www.jobefuneralhome.com.
