David M. King

1955 - 2023

David M. King, 67, of West Newton, died Saturday, July 8, 2023. He was born Dec. 4, 1955, a son of the late Jerry and Mildred (Wukovich) King. David's greatest joy was hunting, fishing and coaching and watching his son play baseball. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Darcy (August) King; son, David King and wife, Taryn; sister, Kathy Chew and husband, Floyd; his mother-in-law, Patricia "Bette" August; brother-in-law and best friend, Kerry August and wife, Lana; brother-in-law, Joe August; nieces and nephews; and his furry companions, Bobo and Lexie Lou. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond King; his father-in-law, Joseph August; and furry companions, Missy, Reggie, Tanner and Kenzie. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the J. WILLIAM McCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME, 901 Vine St., West Newton, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
