He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War from 1964-1972, as a staff sergeant with the United States Army in the artillery division. He was a member of the Tarentum VFW Post 5758, Brackenridge American Legion Post 226 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 699 in Tarentum. Dave enjoyed trips to the casino, fishing, music and playing bar bingo. He is survived by his best friend and love, Geralyn "Gery" Lucke; children, Autumn Kress, Taylor Wright, Wesley J. Norris and Austin D. Norris; step-daughter, Carrie Booher, Gery's children, James Lang III and Jacquelyn Lang; several grandchildren, and by his brother and sister. As per David's request all services were private. Burial with full military honors was in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
