A Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he worked as a carpenter, coal miner, security guard and at the Greater Latrobe School District. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 515, Latrobe. Very outgoing with a great sense of humor, Ed enjoyed family, friends, traveling, hunting, fishing, camping and golf. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy (Miller) Vingin; a brother, William Vingin; and two sisters, Rosalia Pollick and Clara Molnar. Ed is survived by his children, Donald Vingin (Dana), Carol Gyulai (Ferenc) and John Vingin (Kim); one sister, Dorothy Sacek; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Aaron and Bernadette Butina (Edward); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There are no public visitations or services. Private interment will be held at St. Vincent Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
