Gazella M. Yomnick

1934 - 2021

Gazella M. (Weimer) Yomnick 87, of Laughlin, Nev., passed away Sunday July 25, 2021, of covid-19. She was born May 22, 1934, in South Greensburg, a daughter of the late John and Theresa (Attenberger) Weimer. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank R. Yomnick, in Feb. 2000, and most recent companion, Tony Meugniot, in July 2021; sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) Weimer, Mrs. (Thomas) Eileen Logan and Mrs. (Fred) Shirley Breeze; brothers, Jack, Richard and Robert Weimer. She is survived by her daughter, Debra L. Walker, of Indiana; grandson, Ryan C. Mortensen and Erin, of Las Vegas, Nev; great-grandson, Andrew; and great-granddaughter, Madison, whom she adored and absolutely meant the world to her. Also survived by brother, Donald R. Weimer; brother-in-law, Fred Breeze; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Carr, Sally Plevelich and Dolores Sabers, all of Greensburg. She was the loving aunt of many nieces, nephews and their families. Prior to retirement, Gazella was an administrative executive with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, Long Beach, Calif. Gazella loved her family dearly. She organized many "west coast" family reunions. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family from the east coast and attending special occasions at Pioneer Casino, Laughlin, Nev., where she had many wonderful friends. Gazella kept active with all the family news by phone calls and writing cards. A celebration of her life is planned for a later date.
