George Wesley Hayden, 73, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at his home. He was born July 16, 1939, in Greensburg, to Jacob F. and Helen Collins Hayden. George worked as a heavy truck mechanic for Allegheny Power. He was a member of Life Spring Christian Church, where he served as deacon. George was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debbie Lynn Pearsol; granddaughter, Alyssa Burnside; and grandson, Christopher Scott Goodwin. George is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Betty Kramer Hayden; his children, Pastor Roland D. Blake and wife, Marlene, George W. Hayden Jr. and wife, Paula, Renee C. Jones and Jason W. Hayden and wife, Jesseca; sister, Joann Spor and husband, Fred; sister-in-law, Pastor Helen Marie Barnhart; brother-in-law, Pastor Gary Barnhart; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 North Main St., Greensburg.
