George Lynch Obituary

George R. Lynch, 87, of Greensburg, formerly of Cleveland, OH, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at Mt. View Senior Living, Greensburg. He was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Greensburg, a son of the late John E. and Anna C. (Lawrence) Lynch. Prior to his retirement, George worked as a railroad conductor for the Republic Steel Railroad. He was a member of the Latrobe Elks Club, and in his free time, you could find George playing roulette or a slot machine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John E. Lynch Jr. He is survived by two nephews, John Lynch (Karen) and Michael Lynch (Golden); his niece, Lori Telford (Jeffrey); his sister-in-law, Neena M. Lynch; and several other great-nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, at LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg, followed by a funeral service to begin at 4 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Donald Poole officiating. Private interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park in Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. www.bachafh.com.
