Gerald Evans Obituary

Gerald 'Jerry' Evans Sr., 83, of Claridge, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024. He was born April 19, 1941, in Swissvale, a son of the late Benjamin and Hazel B. (Bash) Evans. Jerry was a member of Plum Creek Masonic Lodge #799, Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Syria Shriners Hospital, and Trafford Sportsmen Club.In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois A. (Kemmerer) Evans; daughter, Janet Evans; and grandson Zachary Fleming.Jerry will be sadly missed by his son, Gerald F. (Dawn) Evans Jr., and his daughter, Jill F. (James) Fleming.Jerry was a proud grandfather of Kayla (Brian) Liszka, John (Jordan) Evans, Ian (Sarah) Fleming, Alexis (Jeffrey) Fleming, Brittany Evans; great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Evans, and Sage Liszka, whom he loved dearly. A gathering will be held for Jerry, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Everyone is to meet at the funeral home: VAIA FUNERAL HOME, 463 Athena Dr., Delmont (724-468-1177), has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gerald's memory may be made to Plum Creek Masonic Lodge #799, 9521 Saltsburg Rd., Saltsburg, PA 15239.
