Hollie K. Rolla

Hollie Kathleen Rolla, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Forbes Hospital. She was born in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of the late John and Tabitha Frye Rolla. She was a graduate of Hurst High School and the University of Pittsburgh. She was a Sunday school teacher and a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Donegal. She spent many summers in Hawaii on work-cations and enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews. She retired as a guidance counselor at the Thomas Jefferson High School in the West Jefferson Hills School District, where she was also a business teacher, english, and social studies teacher. She was previously employed at Beckwith Machinery, Palco Inc., and a counselor at Rehabilitation Clinics. Hollie is survived by her sister, Iris Bert, and brother, Dale Rolla, and wife, Amy; also surviving are nieces Mary Olinger (Roy), Crystal Hoke (Jim), Roberta Storey (Jeff), Melanie Cooper (Eric) and Amber Leechalk; nephew, Deron Rolla (Meghan); great-nieces and nephews, Colleen McBride (Jason), Kyle and Kurt Olinger, Callie Neiderhiser (Luke), Priscilla Storey, Tabitha Cooper and fiance, Corey, Caleb and Emma Leechalk and Conor and Declan Rolla; great-great- nieces and nephews, Jason McBride Jr. (Maddy), Jayden and Vonny McBride, Kane Matthews and Dallas Storey and the 'Loves of Her Life, her Baby Dolls,' Jaxson, Judson and Jagger Neiderhiser and a great-great-great-nephew, Asher McBride. In addition to her parents, Hollie was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Eugene Bert and a special great-nephew, Jimmy Hoke. Per Hollie's request, there will be no visitation or service. Contributions in memory of Hollie may be made to the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, PO Box 144, Donegal, PA 15628.
