Hugh Perotti

1921 - 2017

Hugh Perotti, 96, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, in Hempfield Manor, Hempfield Township. He was born April 18, 1921, in Greensburg, a son of the late Conrad and Ida (Benenchetti) Perotti. Prior to retirement, he was a painting contractor in the Greensburg area for 50 years. He was a member of Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, Greensburg. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Hugh was a former member of L.O.O.M. in Greensburg and DAV No. 35 of Westmoreland County. He enjoyed gardening and vacationing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie (Gillio) Perotti, on March 13, 2009; and a sister, Dolores L. Cerilli. He is survived by his daughter, Rita Perotti, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, in Maplewood Presbyterian Church, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Full military services will be conducted by the Armbrust Veterans Association. LEO M.
