Janet F. "Gig" (Gallo) Naughton, 88, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025 in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was born on September 7, 1936 in North Braddock, and lived a life filled with rhythm, grace, and unwavering dedication to her craft and community. A lifelong lover of dance, Janet was the proud owner of Janet's Dance Studio in Irwin, for over 40 years. Through her studio she not only taught generations of dancers but also created a space where creativity flourished and confidence was nurtured. Her passion for movement and music left an undeniable mark on countless students who continue to carry her lessons far beyond the stage. Janet's legacy continues through her loving family, which she adored. She is survived by her devoted daughter and friend, Leisa Maghery; cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn Maghery (Zach) and Tyler Maghery (Riley); beloved great-grandsons Levi, Liam, and Zaydan; a great grandson, due later this month, whom she was excited to meet; and a cherished Goddaughter, Lori Burdell. Each family member carries forward a part of Janet's spirit, strength, warmth, and enduring love. She was preceded in death by her parents Della (Winsheimer) Gallo and Nicholas James Gallo; her beloved husband Jack Naughton; son-in-law Daniel Maghery; and sister Donna Farro. Janet's life was a testament to perseverance, artistry, and the joy of sharing one's gifts with others. To know Janet was to love Janet. May her memory bring joy to those who knew her and continue to inspire those who were touched by her presence. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15, in St. Agnes Church, 11400 St. Agnes Lane, North Huntingdon. Those attending the funeral please go directly to the church. Private interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
