Jayne DiGangi

1937 - 2021

Jayne DiGangi, 84, of Jeannette, passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, in the Butler Memorial Hospital. She was born July 26, 1937, in Homestead, a daughter of the late John Charles and Catherine Welsh Schweinberg. Prior to her retirement, Jayne was employed by the Keystone Lumber Co. in Youngwood, and the former Kaufmann's and currently Macy's Department store in Greensburg. Jayne was Catholic by faith and a member of the Ascension Catholic Church in Jeannette. She was a graduate of the Harrold Junior High School and the Jeannette High School Class of 1955. Jayne enjoyed volunteering for the Tri City Meals on Wheels Program in the Jeannette area for many years. In addition to her parents, Jayne was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Jr. DiGangi; brothers, Thomas and John Charles Schweinberg; and a sister Mary Miller. She is survived by a son, Samuel DiGangi and wife, Amanda, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Matthew DiGangi and wife, Meghan, Dannon Kaiser and husband, K.C., and Georgia and Isaac Boutot; great-grandchildren, Koia and Lana; and numerous nieces and nephews. As per Jayne's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend Jayne's funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Ascension Church Jeannette with Father Job Foote as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Jayne asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tri City Meals on Wheels Program, P.O.
