Joan Wano

Joan D. Wano Bradenville Joan D. Wano, 81, of Bradenville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Pietro and Rose Milani. Prior to her retirement in 1992, Joan was employed by Latrobe Area Hospital. A graduate of Mason-Felix Beauty School, she was the owner and operator of the former Joan's Beauty Salon in Bradenville for 40 years. She was a member of St. Rose Roman Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Christian Mothers and St. Rose Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael A. Wano Sr., in 2000; her son, Michael A. Wano Jr., in 2003; and her brother, Joseph Milani. She is survived by four daughters, Terri Roddy and her husband, Russ, of New Derry, Nadine Dreskler and her husband, Joseph, of Greensburg, Felicia Wano-Irving and her husband, Tyrone, of New Orleans, La., and Stacy Woodmancy and her husband, Scott, of Bradenville; a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Wano, of Bradenville; nine grandchildren, Michael Walter Wano, Joie Wano Williams, Nikki Atkinson (Robert), Megan Clark, Celeste Hough (Steve), Leah Dreskler, Roxanne Dreskler, and Brianna and Scotty Woodmancy; eight great-grandchildren, Colton Hauser, Rylie, Connor and Rayan Williams, Meadow and Michael Wano, Samuel Hough and Olivia Atkinson; two sisters, Caroline "Kitty" Murin (Andrew) and Lois Wano (Joe Bukovan), both of Bradenville; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine companion, Rocky. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. The St. Rose Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Rose Church with the Rev.
